Who needs one engine when you can have two? Multi-engine flying opens many doors for aviation careers and is an important addition to the flying abilities of a pilot. Our Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot Ground Course is designed to introduce aerodynamics and systems associated with operating airplanes with more than one engine.
This course dives into what makes a critical engine on a conventional twin, as well as what factors are used to determine minimum controllable airspeed when that critical engine fails. Recovery procedures for some of these maneuvers are covered in addition to systems and equipment related to retractable landing gear. Preparing the student for an oral examination as part of the check ride is the desired outcome of this course.
