Learning to Fly on SportCruiser Aircraft

The Best Tools for Our Students

Obtaining a pilot certification isn’t as much about the day of your checkride as it is about the journey. When undergoing flight training, a student will gain a number of insights and skills that can continue to make an impact long into their future— and a large part of that overall experience is spent in the air.

At FLT Academy, we want all future pilots to have the best possible flight training experience, flying top-of-the-line aircraft that are both safe and beneficial to their education. For this reason, we own a large fleet of Sport Cruiser aircraft which we use in our training. We made this decision by weighing our collective flying experience, concern for safety, and understanding of flight technologies.

Improved Technology and Safety

When speaking about the smooth operation of an aircraft, it all starts with the electrical system. Within the electrical system of each Sport Cruiser aircraft, there are a number of checks and balances that ensure everything works properly during every flight. There are also several advanced features that ensure pilot and instructor safety at all times, even in the event of an emergency.

Parachute System

Even though in-flight crises are rare, at FLT Academy we want to make sure there is always a failsafe when it comes to emergency situations and responses. For this reason, our aircraft include parachute systems that can be activated at the pull of a handle. Not only does this add a measure of safety, but also allows for more peace of mind while in the air— not just for pilots but for friends and loved ones on the ground. The parachute systems found within each of our planes have a 100 percent survival success rate when used in the real world and within manufacturer limitations.
