GET READY TO TAKE OFF IN THE SPORTCRUISER

FLT Academy refers to the SportCruiser as the “Game Changer” for a reason. Besides its sleek appearance and fuel economy, it also features touch screen Dyon SkyView avionics. A redundant Garmin navigation system, full autopilot capabilities, and a ballistic parachute. Pilots-in-training at FLT Academy flight school love that the cockpit is spacious, and the craft is extremely ergonomic.

Originally introduced in 2006 by Czech Sport Aircraft, the SportCruiser is a two-seat, single engine, light-sport aircraft. Its low wing configuration allows for panoramic views from the cockpit, which is fully encased in a dome-style windscreen. Although it features a cruising speed of 107mph, the SportCruiser can top out at a max speed of 140mph. While maintaining its comfortable cruising speed, the SportCruiser’s range is approximately 590 miles (or 515 nautical miles).

DID YOU KNOW?

The SportCruiser did a brief stint as the Piper Sport. Despite the name change when the plane was marketed by Piper Aircraft in 2010, it’s essentially the same craft. The Piper Aircraft partnership with Czech Sport Aircraft only lasted one year before CSA once again took back the SportCruiser controls.
